HackREGINA Fall 2012 Announced!
HackREGINA is a one-day API programming hackathon where teams of developers, designers, and analysts create applications that integrate with one or more of the sponsors’ APIs. Judges from the local tech community judge based on awesomeness and technical difficulty, and we award fantastic prizes to the winning teams.
HackREGINA is at Prairie Dev Con!
This year we are partnering with Prairie Dev Con to organize our fall hackathon. PrDC is our location sponsor and has provided a conference room at the Delta Hotel in Regina for our event. The event is scheduled for September 29th, 2012, and is open to anyone interested. There will only be 50 spots available, so keep an eye out for online registration (opening in August).
We’ll start with a mixer on Friday night so people can find teams and meet everyone. Then you’ll have one day on Saturday to code your entire application. We’ll keep you fed and watered throughout, with presentations and judging at the end of the day.
Student Competition
In addition to our normal competition, this event we will have a student category where post-secondary student teams will compete against each other for their own set of prizes. The same rules and restrictions will apply, but student applications will be judged in their own category.
Sponsorship Opportunities
HackREGINA works (and awards incredible teams!) because of great sponsors and the local technology and startup community who get involved. HackREGINA is completely volunteer run and community supported. Opportunities to get involved with HackREGINA include:
